Interlochen Center for the Arts is looking to hire a Visual Arts Studio Staff Manager for the 2019 camp season. The dates of the contract are 6/14/19-8/5/19. Housing is provided for the dates contracted (early arrival/late stay requests, if space is available, will be paid in full by the employee). All meals are included with your agreement- breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The Visual Arts Staff Manager position is designed to oversee various facets of the Visual Arts studio programs and is vital to the function of the physical aspects of the program. The manager also has the opportunity to produce and show personal work as well as work alongside a dedicated and experienced faculty.
Manage the duties and responsibilities of the visual arts staff and assist Director of Visual Arts in program operations. The Staff Manager will work closely with the Division Director, Building Manager, Gallery and Production Coordinator and the Administrative Assistant to manage and delegate responsibilities to the staff. The Staff Manager will run staff meetings with the Division Director and maintain communication between different departments within Visual Arts.
The Manager will also assist with the department's public and community programs as appropriate including open studios, extracurricular activities and Collage.
