Description

Interlochen Center for the Arts is looking to hire Production Sound Lighting and Video Technicians for 2019 Interlochen Arts Camp. The dates of the contract are 6/10/19-8/11/19 and the stipend for the entire duration of the contract is $1,735 Housing is provided for the dates contracted (early arrival/late stay requests, if space is available, will be paid in full by the employee). All meals are included with your agreement- breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

 Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide live sound reinforcement for classical, jazz, rock, singer-songwriter, theatrical and dance productions using the latest digital mixing consoles, microphones and sound systems

  • Provide lights for Interlochen Dance Ensemble concerts, professional touring acts, Collage, Fashion, and other productions of ICA using conventional, LED and moving fixture lighting units.

  • Provide video webcasting of Arts Camp student performances and professional guest artists performances.

  • Assist as local crew for the annual summer arts festival. Past guest artists include  Willie Nelson, Reba McEntire, Lindsey Sterling, Avett Brothers, Martha Graham Dance and Jim Gaffigan

  • Provide any production needs for Interlochen  Presents and Interlochen Arts Camp

  • Responsible for upkeep and care of professional sound, lighting and video equipment

Qualifications:

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:  audio production, lighting, video webcasting or theatrical production

  • Must be able to handle a rigorous work schedule with occasional long hours including nights and weekends.

  • Position requires someone who is self-motivated and a quick learner with the ability to work well in a collaborative environment

  • Must be 18 years of age.

  • Must be efficient at multi-tasking.
